August 2015 saw me spending a day at PG Gending with its 2ft gauge rail system. Field trains were no longer in operation but there was still plenty to interest with four locos working.
The days highlights included:
the bagged sugar train from mill to warehouse (2:00)
street running between the truck unloading gantry and mill (5:45)
activity within the mill yard (12:15)
empties from the mill to the truck gantry (20:00)
I understand the street running section is no longer in use but the railway may still be working within the confines of the mill compound.
