What is a plug valve? A plug valve is a valve with cylindrical or conically tapered plugs which are rotated with stem to open or close the valve. Plug valves are suitable for cutting-off, connecting and bypassing usage. Plug valves can be designed into multi-port structure (two ports, three ports, or even four ports). Hard Seal Plug Valves: small fluid resistance; sealing surface is not likely to be scoured by medium; high sealing performance; applicable for a wider range of temperature and pressure rating. Soft Seal Plug Valves: generally applicable for harsh environment with corrosive, highly toxic and harmful medium and for occasions where are required zero leakage. Lifted Plug Valves (Lifting Plug Valves) : divided into hard seal and soft seal plug valves according to different sealing surface materials; with no wear on sealing surface when opening and closing; suitable for working temperature from -29℃ to 550℃.
