This video was produced when the laboratory operated as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The laboratory is now the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). NREL’s PREconfiguring and Controlling Inverter SEt-points (PRECISE) interconnection tool was developed in partnership with Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) where it was deployed in 2022. PRECISE automates holistic distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection studies for distribution utilities by leveraging diverse utility datasets.
