Psalm 27
Inspired by Psalm 27. This is an interesting one in style. The singer is lip syncing, not the actual singer. I used a volunteer that was available for as many takes as it took to get it close :) Thank you to my brother-in-law that let me borrow his hat for the video! For those that would like to have a copy of the lyrics used: The Lord my light and salvation, then whom shall I now fear? The Lord the stronghold of my life; no foe shall make me fear. When wicked men against me came to tear my flesh and slay, My adversaries and my foes stumbled and fell away. Though armies camp against my soul, my heart shall not be moved; Though war arise surrounding me, my trust shall still be proved. One thing I ask the Lord my God, and seek with all my days: That I may dwell within His house and there behold His grace. To gaze upon the beauty fair that shines from God above, And in His holy temple seek His counsel and His love. For in the day of troubled times He hides me in His tent; Within His secret dwelling place His shelter shall be sent. Upon a rock He sets me high above the foes around; Therefore with joy I’ll sacrifice where songs of praise resound. I’ll sing, yes, sing unto the Lord, His praises I proclaim; With thankful voice and lifted heart I glorify His name. Hear me Lord, listen to my cry; have mercy, answer me; When You said to me, “Seek My face,” my heart replied to Thee. Hide not Your face afar from me, nor in anger turn away; You have been help to me before, my Savior and my stay Though father, mother leave my side, and all their care depart, The Lord will take me to Himself and keep me in His heart. Teach me Thy way, O Lord, I pray, and guide me in Thy way; Because of foes that lie in wait, make straight my path this day. O give me not unto the will of those who seek my fall; For false men rise with lying words and breathe out cruelty’s gall. I would have fainted in despair unless this I believed: The goodness of the Lord my God in living land perceived. Wait on the Lord; take heart, be strong He shall your heart restore; Yes, wait upon the Lord your God; wait on the Lord once more.
