Psalm 29

Inspired by Psalm 29. Hard rock in style. This one will not be for everyone. Many thanks to my dear friend for the storm footage that he allowed me to use for this Psalm. For those that would like to compare the lyrics used with their favorite translation: Give to the Lord, O mighty ones, give glory to His name; Give unto God both strength and praise, His honor now proclaim. Give to the Lord the glory due unto His holy name; O worship Him in holiness, His beauty now proclaim. The voice of God upon the seas resounds in thunder strong; The God of glory thunders forth above the waters long. The voice of God is full of power, His voice with majesty; The voice of God in splendor speaks with sovereign dignity. The voice of God breaks cedars down, the cedars tall and grand; The Lord breaks down the woods that grow in Lebanon’s proud land. He makes them leap just like a calf when startled in the field; Both Lebanon and Sirion like young wild oxen yield. The voice of God divides the flames that flash in fiery might; His voice sends forth the lightning bolts that blaze across the night. The voice of God shakes wilderness where desert plains expand; The Lord shakes all the desert wild of Kadesh’ barren land. The voice of God makes deer give birth and strips the forests bare; Within His temple all proclaim His glory everywhere. The Lord sits king above the flood, His throne no storm can shake; The Lord sits King forevermore no power can overtake. The Lord will give His people strength and guard them in His grace; The Lord will bless His people all with peace in every place.
