Pully Swing

This was my family's backyard in the fall of 1988. When we moved to this house my dad decided to not take our swing set from the old house with us with the promise of making us better outdoor toys. My dad was inspired by the "Jumpin' Jungle" in IdleWild Park in Ligonier Pa. He felt he could build us our own Jumpin' Jungle. This is what me and my sister named the "Pully Swing." It was called this cause you obviously ride a pully down a cable wire. You come to an abrupt stop at the bottom and swing for awhile. Unfortunately this didn't last long in our yard, maybe a year. Our cousin rode this on a visit and when the pully hit the bottom it broke sending her flying and breaking her collar bone. Afterwards my parents home owners insurance threatened to drop them if we didn't dismantle it. This video features Me (pink hoodie), my little sister Shelby, and briefly my mom in the beginning.
