Lecture 6 Course Description: A mathematically rigorous introduction to quantum computing starting from the fundamentals of quantum physics. We build up to theory to give a precise description of some well established quantum algorithms such as Shor’s prime factorization quantum algorithm. Textbook: Quantum Computation and Quantum Information by Nielsen and Chuang (https://www.cambridge.org/highereducation/books/quantum-computation-and-quantum-information/01E10196D0A682A6AEFFEA52D53BE9AE?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=bookmark) Prerequisites: Linear Algebra Background: These lecture were given in the Mathematics Department at Oregon State University as part of a graduate topics course (MTH669)“Quantum Random Walks.”
