In this quick tutorial I'll show you how to craft a lifelike and realistic cloud simulation in 3ds Max.
In this chapter, we create a cloud base mesh using Particle Flow & FrostMX, then we use generated mesh to simulate a basic cloud volume using PhoenixFD, after basic simulation, we take the volume to SideFX Houdini and refine it to add details. Finally, we use V-Ray to render our cloud.
This Tutorial constitutes Part 1 of the Series. In next parts you will learn more complex effects and techniques. Also, we reduce the dependency on plug-ins as much as possible.
