Ranch FPV

This footage was taken over Thanksgiving break with my family at the ranch. Showcasing the 3D Printed MK X frame I push the limits of what a Micro Quad can do!!. I was surprised how far out I could fly with the MK X! Almost 800ft and I could have probably pushed it a little further. To get that long range I have done a few things to my equipment. - 5dbi antenna on my Taranis - Custom antenna on Tiny FrSky Rx ( http://bit.ly/2gTeAJo ) - Flew in an area with no RF noise The biggest contributing factor may have been that I was in a remote area with no RF noise. I do know that with the 5dbi antenna and the custom Tiny FrSky Rx antenna I have greatly increased the range over stock but 800ft is ridiculous. I use a 25mW FPV VTX with a dipole antenna broadcasting to my fatsharks that have an AOMWAY cloverleaf. You will never see an Eachine QX90 or Tiny Whoop fly like this!! I was also using the less powerful AVAWO Hubsan x4 motors that I measured in my motor test video ( https://youtu.be/YMrSBnQhR3A ) Even with these motors I had plenty of power to do flips and have fun. This goes to show how having a light quadcopter makes all the difference! These motors are much cheaper than the Spintechs and are still very capable for this sized and weighted chassis. I have already made some big improvements since Thanksgiving. The MK XI has the following changes: ( http://bit.ly/2hWIOsO ) - Stronger arm design to prevent cracking from impacts - Removed material from cross brace to keep weight low - Increased camera protection to avoid broken equipment - Increased height of vibration motor mounts and sockets I will be testing out different 3D Printing materials on the MK XI to find the most durable frame material possible.
