In 2004, MPs voted to ban the hunting of mammals with dogs (the Hunting Act) in England and Wales. This act came into effect in 2005. Despite the ban fox hunting continues in the countryside over 10 years later.
The North East Hunt Monitors, along with many other groups, were set up to combat the illegal act of fox hunting.
