re:fraction – dub techno digitone 01A
I decided to start a solo project for the Digitone, to get a better understanding of this fantastic 8 voice FM machine. I’m amazed by how versatile this device is, and it’s very tempting to try to create complete songs with this device. I’ve tried to make use of the four tracks to contain as much as possible, with one track dedicated to all the percussion and the other three for chords. I’ve realized this week that with micro timing a snare can be located on the same step as a kick, in the same track. Layering stuff with the Digitone is going to be fun digging more into, and I haven’t found any limitations by maxing the 8 voices yet. With twelve patterns and the song mode I’ve created a seven minute dub techno piece in 114 bpm. Have a nice weekend. === Support my work at Bandcamp: https://re-fraction.bandcamp.com Stream from the Spotify artist page: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0QcizzU2909Hc6HKo6hPIZ?si=1LoVmlaSQg-1wMSTtysfaQ Gear used: • Elektron Digitone • Eventide Blackhole • Strymon, DECO • Mackie 1402VLZ4 • FMR Audio RNLA • Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD
