The GISS should use the Event layers in the edit map instead of the mobile geodatabase from the GISS Edit service directly. The GISS can do this by repairing the path to the Event GDB layer file in the map template. While the symbols are the same between the service and the layer file, several other settings are saved in the layer files that are not available directly from the service.
