Revival Protocal
Revival Protocol is an interactive experience that simulates the control interface of a livestream monitoring system used within a futuristic research habitat. Visitors take on the role of a livestream operator, switching between cameras, monitoring environmental data, browsing internal records, and reading audience comments. Through these fragmented pieces of information, visitors gradually construct their own understanding of the habitat they are observing. At the centre of the livestream is Meganeura, a giant prehistoric dragonfly that has been artificially brought back to life. Housed within a carefully engineered habitat, the creature has become the focus of a global livestream. Thousands of online viewers watch its daily behaviour, turning its existence into a continuous spectacle shaped by curiosity, fascination, and debate. By layering institutional systems, staff records, and live audience reactions within the same interface, the project frames the creature's life as something simultaneously protected, managed, and displayed. The operator stands between two worlds: the controlled enclosure that sustains the animal’s existence, and the distant audience whose attention transforms that life into a spectacle.
