Roam

Students 12 - 15 years old designed this lively animation at the Creative Arts at Park School summer program in Brookline, Massachusetts. They worked with individual lightboxes, index cards, and fiber point pens; their hand-drawn animation sequences stream at ten drawings for every second of screen time. Previsualizing, designing, and preparing their artwork gave students firsthand experience with how animated productions come together - whether mammoth Hollywood features, or short independent videos. NB - The wonderful music, "Roam," performed by the B-52's, is used for inspirational and educational purposes only. We must've listened to this track over 50 times. It never gets old!
