Ronf1 - Upward Abyss
Decided to keep on sharing more of my earliest works - a Dreamwave / Shoegaze / Chillwave / Darkwave by most relative subgenres, with a little more serene and mysterious mood than usual, but still peaceful and ethereal by atmosphere. Also important to mention noticeable hints of Lo-Fi, Downtempo, Post-Punk and even some retro Dreamcore, although quite difficult to label them as such entirely, but calling it of Retrowave / Vaporwave and Ethereal-wave musical fields wouldn't be too wrong in my opinion. Initially and conceptually, it was supposed to be an "ascending", in a positive sense of a word, soundtrack, but as I was doing this track further, it began to seem more of a suspenseful and space-like, where detuned / crunchy instruments' and effects' sounds came in favor of that statement. As a result, bright and dark tones happen to blend successfully into something like so. If I were to picture or pinpoint something imagine in particular: a lucid dream-like atmosphere, or a trippy one, bad or good trip - is up to your ear, but nonetheless an endless fall or rise feeling it is; or an unbelievably beautiful and stunning polar lights sighting, appearing out of the blue in midnight sky. Heavy influences at the time of making this one were artists like Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Moby and similar other authors of "unorthodox" and unusual electronic music. For synthesizers I used a variety of software "analog" ones (Arturia), as well as some software samples (probably of Nexus or Native Instruments); percussion kit used is put together from various retro drum machines' samples with a few of mine ("white noise" transitions and a Kick). Effects (reverb, delay, saturation, distortion, chorus, etc.) were made possible thanks to Valhalla, SoundToys and FabFilter manufacturers. Very recent mastering/mixing tweaks were made trough Ozone 12 and FabFilter shenanigans. Thank you for stopping by to listen to my tune, hope you find this one interesting and Enjoy! ----- Apart from comment section you can contact me via email at: [email protected]
