Roseground 2 pin version. This versatile ground uses 4 pairs. Shown as a diamond shape in a pricking. The pairs entering and leaving the stitch are crossed, but not pinned. The stitch is worked top pin, left crossing with no pin, right crossing with no pin, bottom pin. Only the top and bottom pin are used in this version. The number of twists, and pins, alter the appearance of the ground. There are as many as 20 different versions, some quite dramatically different from a standard Roseground.
