I bolted the panels to 60mm x 60mm aluminium angle, which I hinged on one side to make the underside accessible for cleaning, wiring and maintenance. I wired the 5 x 100W panels in parallel and in their own string (circuit), and wired the 4 x 20W panels in parallel and in their own seperate string also. They both come down into seperate waterproof enclosures to enter the van. I secured the panels to the roof using Sikaflex 221, which is a high strength adhesive, and will be mounting a piece of angled aluminium to the front panel for aerodynamics and to reduce wind pressure build up underneath the panels.
