Following the 9/11 attacks, the private sector became concerned with the risk of liability that they would face in the event that one of their technologies was impacted by an act of terrorism.
The SAFETY Act is designed to mitigate those risks, and encourages the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies.
The SAFETY Act provides important legal liability protections for providers of Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies - whether they are products or services. The goal of the SAFETY Act is to encourage the development and deployment of effective anti-terrorism products and services by providing liability protections.
