Travelling to China in the depths of winter never appealed and my preference was always to visit in warmer weather. Over the years I made five visits to Sandaoling: the first on my own and then four, including this one, as part of a Linesiding with John tour. Travelling with a tour enabled me to gain both more and easier access to what Sandaoling was able to offer.
