Scan & Pan | Scaled CV control

With 4 channels and clocking in at only 14hp, the Scan & Pan provides a deep level of signal control for creative blending applications or simple mixing in the modular environment. Here, with the help of the Control Voltage Processor, we explore scaling and mixing Control Voltage to shape the VCAs of the Scan & Pan. A simple patch was created by sending two envelope shapes from the Multi-Envelope to the two bottom sections of the Control Voltage Processor. From there, these two shapes were mixed and attenuated and sent to the 3rd and 4th channels of the Scan & Pan, which received signal from the 2 filter bands of Foundation Oscillator waves from the Noise & Filter while a “dry” mix from the Foundation Oscillator and Amp&Tone occupied channel 1. Manual manipulation of the “offset” control gave the ability to open up the channels of the Scan & Pan very slightly, giving a crescendo like effect.
