I was once taught that sculpture is the manipulation of materials as a broad concept at art college in the 1990's. To simplify further, it's all about moving stuff around as a constant exploration of seeing materials in a new way. When preparing to do something, we can often find that there are moments, or markers along the way which often reflect contemporary art. Here I am inspired by Richard Long, while cutting wood for the roundhouse fire and the domestic abode. But that's just for starters!
