Hosting a steamboat (hot pot) dinner in Malaysia was my Feb 26’ treat to myself ! This is a beloved tradition of togetherness, especially pre or during the Chinese New Year. Whether you are hosting a cozy meal for two or for a larger group it is important to create a memorable steamboat experience …after a long while I did a steamboat for friends who invited me to go to a Fishing Village with them in JB . The steamboat involved preparing a savory broth (chicken, pork, or fish-based), thin-sliced meats (pork, or sausages ),glass noodles and egg noodles , crab sticks, fresh mushrooms, seafood (crab balls, prawns, fish slices), leafy greens or cabbage, tofu. I used portable stoves for the table, offering dips like fresh home made sambal, freshly cut chilli with soy sauce for a perfect social dining! enjoy !!please subscribe to my channel 🙏
