The flexibility of your pelvis and lower extremities are very important in assisting you with the stabilization of your pelvis, low back, and spine as well as improving your overall ability to maintain your balance. Prolonged sitting throughout the day increases your fall risk due to tightness that will occur in your hip flexors, hamstrings, calf, and ankle muscles. If your mobility and flexibility in these areas are poor it will lead to an increase in episodes of falls. This seated stretch will improve your flexibility and help reduce your risk of falls!
