Submodeling is a feature of the Abaqus software which enable us to run a global model without details and high computational cost. Even it is possible that while global model is a shell the submodel be a solid. After running the global model as a shell, we can transfer the results as boundary condition to a solid submodel of a local region of the global model. In this video the global model is explained and in the next video (https://youtu.be/u2cma4Sg-Gw) the submodeling is performed. In this video you can find out:
What is shell to solid submodeling?
How can we draw complicated parts by sweep feature?
How can we use rigid body constrain to apply concentrated moment to a deformable part?
How can we model a tube by conventional shell in Abaqus software?
