A short demonstration of the side leg kick pilates exercise, commonly integrated into rehabilitation approaches. Move in a way that feels comfortable and within your own capacity. Duration, repetitions, range, and other aspects should be individualised. If you’re unsure what’s appropriate for you, consider seeking guidance from a suitably qualified healthcare or exercise professional. ✨ Who this may support: Mat-based exercises can be helpful for many people, including those living with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Working closer to the ground reduces the demands of gravity compared to sitting or standing, which may feel more manageable. With ME/CFS in particular, pacing and energy management are essential, and at times even gentle movement may not be appropriate. 📝 Important note: This video is for general guidance only and is not personalised advice. Please listen to your body and take responsibility for your own wellbeing. Seek advice from a suitably qualified professional if needed. ✨ About me: I’m Ann Parkinson, a Pain & Fatigue Specialist Physiotherapist and Integrative Somatic Therapist.
