Sidelight Window Frame Problem and Solution???

This video shows a problem and hopefully a solution with fit-up of glass in a sidelight window frame. The decorative glass thickness had variations from the thinnest portion to the thickest as much as 2.3mm. 12/31/2025 UPDATE: The solution worked as expected with the outside flange with caulk flush with the outside panel, molding contacting glass on the inside face, and a small variable gap on the inside of the panel which will be caulked later.
