Skeptical Activism - Susan Gerbic
Join Susan Gerbic, CFI Ambassador and founder of the Guerrilla Skeptics on Wikipedia (GSoW) project, for an inside look at how a global team of volunteers is improving public understanding of science and skepticism—one Wikipedia article at a time. Susan shares how she organizes grassroots skeptical activism, trains new editors, and coordinates efforts to ensure reliable, evidence-based information reaches millions of readers worldwide. She also discusses the rise of SkeptiCamps across the country—community-driven conferences that bring skeptics together to share knowledge, build networks, and strengthen the movement for critical thinking. About the Presenter: Affectionately called the Wikipediatrician, Susan Gerbic is the cofounder of Monterey County Skeptics and a self-proclaimed skeptical junkie. Susan is also founder of the Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia (GSoW) project. She is a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, and writes for her column, Guerilla Skepticism, often.
