SLOWMOTION High Voltage Arc
High voltage? Check. Thirty thousand dollar slowmotion camera? Check. Good times, good friends, good science. Today we look at the AC high voltage arc from a Microwave Oven Transformer. We learn more about how a MOT actually works, and learn about filming with slowmotion cameras! This was particularly interesting for me to learn how to use a slowmotion camera, and be exposed to the field. =-=-=-=Further Reading:=-=-=-=-= Transformers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformer Tony's teaching modules at the University of Utah: http://www.che.utah.edu/~tony/OTM/ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Come along with us at Jamlabs as we get excited about Science and try things out on our own! A safety warning: Not as a legal clause to reduce our risk but to show you we take this seriously. We are trusting you to handle these dangerous experiments maturely and responsibly. Don't abuse that. We firmly believe that with a little understanding and precautions anyone can do what is shown in these videos. We also believe that many can benefit from doing these experiments. They can be very educational, and a lot of fun. That being said, for those of you who will try this at home, be safe, and take the proper precautions. These short films do not take the place of research on your own, and be sure that you know what you're getting into. ☠ Music used-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Music by: Kasger Song Title: Kensho Show the artist some love on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/kaspergerlif/kasger-kensho -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Woo Jamlabs If you have any questions or want to get more info on an experiment, contact us at Jamlabs01 'at' gmail.com
