SMART WASHING MACHINE BOOKING AND ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM This project is an IoT-based automation system designed to manage washing machine usage in hostels and shared accommodations. It combines RFID authentication, real-time slot booking, and hardware control to prevent unauthorized access and eliminate slot conflicts. Workflow of the System: A user books a washing slot through the web application. At the scheduled time, the user scans the RFID card on the machine. The RFID reader captures the card’s unique hexadecimal ID and sends it to the ESP32. The ESP32 transmits the ID and machine details to the backend server via WiFi. The backend verifies: Whether the user is registered Whether the slot is active If validation is successful, the server returns an access granted response. The ESP32 activates the relay module, which turns ON the washing machine. The LCD displays access status and remaining time. After the allocated duration ends, the relay automatically turns OFF and the slot is closed in the database. If the RFID does not match or the slot is inactive, access is denied and the machine remains OFF.
