Sonic solves Freedom Planet 2 by himself

AKA: Palace Courtyard S Rank (No Hit) Run with Sonic in Freedom Planet 2 This gameplay shows a mod for Freedom Planet 2 where you can play as our spiky blue hedgehog from another world through classic mode. Once you've 100% the game, you unlock the Chaos Emeralds which when equipped, allow you to transform into Super Sonic, following similar perks as in other Sonic game. As well as being invulnerable, faster, jumping higher and having a fantastic air dash, Super Sonic has an active hitbox meaning just standing is enough to cause pain to enemies. That being said, this stage is pretty annoying to get an S rank on with Super Sonic due to how few gems there are compared to other stages. To add, it's more than possible for RNG to screw you over with that chest as you can end up not getting any gems and thus, depowering at the Merga fight. Thankfully, life petals there are good enough to work with and I JUST had enough to last as you can see. After recording 20+ mins of attempts, 1:35:9 is just a bit off my record but I'm happy enough with this time for now as I'm no professional speedrunner or anything. Sub 1:30 is more than possible with more consistent boss hits and I'd say 1:25 is potentially possible if the shield is skipped too. To my knowledge, it's impossible to get a Rainbow S rank with Super Sonic.
