This is the fourth video in a series I am doing to help DSLR shooters on tracking mounts achieve success with astrophotography. We are following a path of using free software. In the prior video I did an extensive introduction to Siril, and in this one we will use it to preprocess a set of light frames and then to intelligently stack them. Following stacking, with the image in a linear state, I demonstrate a workflow to get it ready for stretching. This is the missing link for many amateur astrophotographers who do not own the high end software, and is the motivation for doing this whole series in an effort to make my contribution to the community.
