Bad bots learned to read that years ago. And they are scraping your email address and selling it on the black market - forever. They will use it to try to hack into every online account you have. So, it’s not just about spamming you. Instead, get a contact form and link to it. And check your privacy policy page too. I’ve heard some folks say that you have to show your email address on it. No you don’t. You can link to your contact form. I suggest using Formidable Forms because it has a way for you to turn off collecting the form data in your database. Most other plugins don’t have that in their free version. And collecting that data is a GDPR no-no, plus it clogs up your database with useless info, and that will eventually become a speed issue.
