This video shows how to design and construct the vertical stabilizers for the Synapse. I tend to go big on my vertical stabilizers for confidence and stability. So far I have been unable to induce an intentional true spin in this airplane and I partly credit this to good yaw stability. You could probably get by with smaller ones but be careful and use your discretion. Folding winglets as vertical stabilizers are very easy to do with this design.
