Syntax Super Power Reading Rev
Want to boost your students' language comprehension, reading, and writing? Explicitly teach them how words go together to make well-formed sentences. This is syntax! There are 4 major patterns of syntax: 1- Every sentence has a capital, subject, predicate, and end mark. 2- We can expand simple sentences by using adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. 3- We can combine sentences if we understand clauses. 4- Phrases help us communicate our ideas clearly. In this video, I guide you through the same PowerPoint I use with my 3rd-5th grade students.
