The tactical frog is a ground-based mobility drill that opens the hips while reinforcing controlled movement through the pelvis and trunk. From a wide kneeling position, the hips shift back and forth under tension, helping improve adductor mobility, hip awareness, and positional control.
Rather than forcing range, the goal is to move deliberately and stay organized throughout the motion. The tactical frog helps you explore hip movement actively instead of passively collapsing into a stretch.
What this builds:
Hip and adductor mobility
Pelvic and trunk control
Awareness in deep hip positions
Active range of motion under tension
Use this in warm-ups, recovery sessions, or before squatting and hinging patterns to improve lower body positioning and movement quality. It also works well as a reset for people who spend long periods sitting or feel restricted through the hips.
Don’t force the stretch. Stay active, stay controlled, and let the position open gradually.
