The Append Alignment command is used to add a new section or continuation of an alignment or linestring to an existing alignment. To ensure proper addition, it's important to verify that the zero station is correctly positioned and that the new section is appended towards the end of the existing alignment. Additionally, the direction of the linestring must match the direction of the alignment. If the linestring is in the opposite direction, it should be reversed before proceeding. Once the direction is corrected, the Append Alignment command can be accessed under the Create Alignment section in the corridors. The user selects the existing alignment and the linestring to append, with the option to include a vertical alignment as well. After selecting the linestring and confirming the action, the new section is successfully added to the alignment, resulting in a seamless continuation.
