In this video we are working on the concept of "sign manding." Manding means teaching a child to request for something they are motivated for. Requesting can be done using any form of communication (i.e., via pictures, sign language or vocally). As this child is not vocal, we are teaching him to sign for the item and after he signs he will receive the item.
