The Accounting
[verse] What can be said to those, who think You’ll immediately come back? What message, possibly, could pull them onto the right track? Not eschatology…that may rob them of their bliss Speak mostly of integrity…and of faithful work, like this [verse] One time there was a man, who went to school far away So that he’d be ordained, and shepherd back at home some day And just before he left, to serve his ministry did entrust Yet there were some who’d say, “He won’t be a shepherd over us!” [verse] Yet when the man returned, he was appointed to the church And the first thing that he did, was for those entrusted , search He asked each one to see if they had caused the church to gain Or if leaving it in their hands was like rinsing it down the drain [verse] “Increased times ten,” exclaimed the first; he was honored for his deeds “You’re a good servant of the Lord… enter the ‘elder’ ministry” And then the second one entrusted said, “I’ve increased the church five-fold” Then was ordained into the diaconate, for serving just as his Lord told [verse] But the third one thought it might be good to keep the flock the same He didn’t seem to know his actions might cause the gospel shame He could’ve handed it to other men, at least to see it grow a little In ‘humble’ pride, complacently, he missed the kingdom riddle! [verse] To everyone who has increased, much more will they be given And from those who don’t increase at all, the kingdom will be riven And to enemies, who choose forsaking shepherds with elation Will, either here, or in the life to come, face excommunication If desiring to support this ministry, please either mail check or cash to: Gary Gabrielson 6620 Monitor Road, El Dorado, CA 95623 or visit my GoFundMe site below: https://gofund.me/66817128
