Ignoring the summer heat , me and some of my fellow birder friends visited Khisma forest which is located in Nadia district and is a paradise for bird and nature lovers. It is around 2.5 to 3 hours driving distance from Kolkata.
Birdwatchers specially visit this area to watch and photograph various types of birds like the Blue tailed and chestnut headed bee eater, baya weaver, paradise flycatcher, cuckoos and many more.
