Duocel® is a structure with customizable strength that is ideal for energy absorption applications. ERG can fine tune the crush plateau to help protect small and large objects in a variety of impact conditions. The classic example is the egg drop test from science class. The goal is to absorb the energy of the impact and lengthen the duration of the impact. The structure of Duocel® allows the energy from the fall to compress in the material, slowing down the impact and reducing the impact forces experienced by the egg, keeping the egg from breaking.
