A lone man builds an ark on dry ground while the world around him laughs, questions, and walks away shaking their heads. Year after year he keeps building — until the first drop falls on the wooden deck.
This dark acoustic folk ballad retells the story of Noah in a simple and human way, focusing on waiting, ridicule, silence, and the moment everything changes.
Minimal instrumentation, raw storytelling vocals, and a repeating chorus create an old folk narrative atmosphere inspired by classic acoustic folk storytelling traditions.
Based on the biblical account of Noah and the ark:
Genesis 6–8
“He did all that God commanded him.” — Genesis 6:22
“And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.” — Genesis 7:12
