The Reason I Sing

Before welcoming the year 2022, I remember uttering one prayer to God and that is to give me something that will help prepare me for the new year. This song is the answer to that prayer! It spoke to me mightily and tenderly and even had me and my sister in tears while we were practicing this for the first time. This song carries a special place in our hearts knowing that God used this as an instrument to remind us once again of His faithfulness and divine providence in the lives of those who choose to trust and follow Him. This sinful world will give us all the reasons to feel miserable, wallow in self-pity, lose sight of eternal hope, or deceive us into finding joy and satisfaction in all the wrong places. The world offers nothing but songs of discontentment, misery, regret, lust in various forms, etc. But for a Christian whose Saviour is Christ Jesus, the One who died on the Cross and, on the third day, rose from the grave, his heart will always be full of songs of deliverance, comfort, joy, gratitude. When Christ is the theme of our song, we will always have a reason to sing!
