The Sleepless Ones
This arrangement was created using my Dragon Spine arc. You can always recognize a Dragon Spine piece because the arrangements carry a lot more detail and intentional movement. Before I developed this arc, I would build instrumentals based on feel — starting at a certain BPM, ending at the same BPM, and simply making sure everything landed smoothly. With the Dragon Spine, the structure is deeper. Every rise, fall, breath, and shift is mapped. This arc includes: 3 BPM → baritone → down 7 semitones → piano → slow drums → tuba (up 2 semitones) → 20 BPM → baritone → 25 BPM → bass → French horn → 40 BPM → up 3 semitones → piano → baritone → 48 BPM → bass → tuba → down 1 semitone → heavy bass → flute → 60 BPM → up 1 semitone → flute → bass → tuba → piano → 50 BPM → baritone → slow drums → French horn → 48 BPM → baritone → bass → 25 BPM → flute → piano → 20 BPM → baritone → down 1 semitone → tuba → baritone → 3 BPM. For this arrangement, I chose to use the tuba — an instrument I don’t normally reach for because of its weight. But in the Dragon Spine arc, that weight becomes part of the breath. I love the brass and wind families, and here the tuba adds a grounded, ancient warmth to the spine of the piece. I have always had a love hate for the tuba. In band I couldn't stand to look at it! It was just huge and in the way! Yet, there was a background that only the tuba was capable of delivering. Musical direction by Shellzonit. The instrumental arrangement was created inside the AI studio under my creative guidance. #sleepmusic #sleepsounds
