In this video, I begin discussions about our closest star, the Sun. We compare the size of the sun to other objects in the solar system. We also introduce some physics concepts to describe the sun, its Luminosity, and the flux we receive from the Sun some distance away. We discuss what might be powering the sun, and after eliminating several possibilities, we describe the nuclear reactions that must be powering the sun.
