The Tangled Knot

Brothers and sisters, welcome. I’ve found myself dwelling on the imagery of "The Tangled Knot" lately. Let’s be honest, we’ve all got a few brambles in the mind, haven't we? It’s a profoundly human experience to acknowledge the stain within the heart, the moments we speak in haste or sew seeds of wrath or simply walk on by the wounded man because we are just too preoccupied with our own dusting of the floor. This meditation is, well, a bit vulnerable. A confession, really, beneath the gaze of God. I wanted to capture that wild goose cry of the Spirit, the rushing wind that cuts through the stillness of our complacency. Sometimes we just have to sit with the stark reality of our failures—the things left undone, the candle we let dim—before we can even begin to ask to be washed in the living thoughts and restored. We bring the tangled weaving we've marred to the altar of earth. Here are a few waypoints for our shared reflection: [00:16] Kneeling before the High King of the elements, entirely open to the watcher of the tides. [01:07] Confronting the sins of the senses, when our eyes linger on the dark and miss the bright and whole. [01:57] Recognizing the sharp stones of our words and the peace we've casually broken. [02:29] The heavy realization of deeds left undone, failing to see the face of Christ in the other. [03:00] Bringing our profound regret over the tangled knot of our lives to the cross. [03:31] A petition for transformative grace, seeking to walk anew. May the Holy Wind breathe on you to change and transform.
