The unthinkable has occurred: black men hating black women. This has been brewing for quite some time, and people wonder why. The answer is simple: the loss of self-esteem and respect. When women beg or ask for money, it alters our perception of our contributions to relationships. We are often not seen as respectable providers deserving of respect, but rather as sponsors. I believe the reason men are no longer pursuing women is because it feels more like trying to befriend a prostitute—you have to constantly pay to access. Gone are the days when you could casually walk in the park, eat ice cream, and engage in small talk to get to know someone. In most cases, relationships have become obsolete.
