Everybody loves doing the wave, right? This is my interpretation of a classic automata mechanism that uses a series of eccentric circular cams offset from one another. You can find examples of caterpillars, snakes, worms, even dragons using this mechanism. I wanted to try something a bit different and went with a stadium wave. I kept it very basic without getting into a lot of detail, the idea of carving 15 individuals was daunting of a challenge. The simple block body design lends itself to dressing everyone in your favorite team colors and jerseys. At the end you'll see I picked the Detroit Lions. You might be wondering about the lone individual with the Steelers jersey. You know there's always one clown in the crowd, this one's mine....sorry Sly!
