Through the Stargates — Pure Data Music & Visual Process

This video took a long time to make. At first, I went too far with visual effects, each After Effects render took hours, and I redid the whole thing several times. In the end, it turned into a flight through space: passing multiple star gates and slowly approaching a distant planet! Some people ask about the visuals, so here’s a bit of context. What you see is not a separate animation, but part of my music-making process. The sound is created in a Pure Data patch that I built myself. I record several audio channels separately, then process, mix and master them to shape the final track. After that do I work on the video: I take the visual output from Pure Data and layer it with visual effects in After Effects, turning the patch activity into a cinematic journey.
