Total Solar Eclipse Timelapse With Sound

April 8, 2024 in Montreal QC, Canada. 2293 images taken with exposure time of 1/800 of a second. 5D Mark IV camera paired with a reflective telescope of 750 mm in focal length and 150 mm aperture protected by Mylar filter. The average light intensity of each frame was measured using a Python script that also creates an audio file with frequencies proportional to the light intensities of the images. Frequencies mapped to be contained within a given range, then overdrive effect applied to the sound. The more light, the higher the pitch. Also using Python, the images have been cropped and recentered automatically since the tracking of the Sun was not accurate as the Earth was rotating.
