Robert Hannafords work is something I have admired and studied all my life. In a previous SALA he gave me permission to repaint one of his self portraits. This SALA exhibition is an exhibition of he and his wife's work. I really can't explain how actually seeing the work in real life gives so much more than a photo or video but I wanted to share this with you so you can see the wonderful work. I asked him what art meant in his life. He said he didn't like the word art. He is a practitioner of drawing, painting and sculpture and it has meant everything.
